Iris (* 1981) and Mattias (* 1968) Alexandrov Klum work as an artist duo are based in Sweden and Spain. Since 2016, their work has examined contemporary social issues with a focus on nature and the complexity of human beings’ relationship with their surroundings. Alexandrov Klum works with large scale installations of photography, film and sound, creating a multimedia experience that lies at the intersection between conceptual art and documentary reality. By embracing the uncertainty that we find ourselves in with a changing climate with many global challenges and transformation, Alexandrov Klum explores how to enchant and be recaptivated by nature and thereby look with respect and reverence on our surroundings. The Duo’s natural mystical tonality and boundary crossing playfulness may have the affect of allowing us, in addition to current scientific findings, to be emotionally influenced to change, from thought to action.

The duo is based in Stockholm, Sweden and Costa Blanca, Spain.
